Build trust within the group and grow together. UGL is a blended learning program that stands for Group and Leader Development. The idea behind the training is for the participant to learn to understand group dynamics and thereby improve the well-being of everyone.

UGL

UGL stands for "utveckling av grupp och ledare". This training is designed to help participants develop a deeper understanding of group dynamics and how to become a more effective and aware leader. It provides insights into how different people react and behave in groups, how conflicts can arise and be managed, and how emotions affect both individuals and group dynamics.

What is UGL?

In the 1980s, the Swedish Armed Forces drew inspiration from the American forces and developed UGL, which stands for "Utveckling av Grupp och Ledare" in Swedish, translating to "Group and Leader Development" in English. The purpose for the Swedish Armed Forces was to provide all officers with a foundational education in leadership and an understanding of the various factors that contribute to creating an effective team. >>

How different personality types act and react, how conflicts arise, and how various emotions are expressed and can be understood and managed.

A UGL training is more of an experiential journey, an exploration into how both oneself and others function within a group. Since there are no pre- existing bonds or familiarity among participants, feedback often tends to be more open compared to when working with colleagues. Colleagues frequently take more consideration and assess the risks of being candid in their feedback. This can be beneficial within existing work relationships. However, if one seeks personal development through others, it is often best achieved within a group of strangers.

Target Audience

UGL training is designed for both leaders and employees who wish to enhance their effectiveness in their professional roles.

An education aimed at deepening the understanding of human cooperation.

This has helped me enormously to see my true nature and get to know myself better, as well as how, in a relatively short time, one can help people develop in a group. How effective experiential learning is.
